1M=X (Integrated Movement Exercise) is a blend of specific stabilization, strengthening and flexibility exercises inspired by Pilates Method.
Pilates is a method of exercise and physical movement designed to stretch, strengthen and balance the body. With systematic practice of isolating a muscle or muscle group, combined with specific exercises and focused breathing patterns, Pilates has become an invaluable form of fitness. Pilates has also proven to be an important adjunct to professional sports training and physical rehabilitation of all kinds.
Pilates practiced on a continual basis yields numerous benefits. Strength and flexibility, particularly of the abdomen and back muscles, as well as coordination both muscular and mental, are key components in an effective Pilates program. Increased lung capacity and circulation through deep breathing is a primary focus. Pilates greatly improves posture, balance, and core strength and helps one to experience body awareness.
Pilates uses controlled movements in the form of mat exercises and equipment to tone and strengthen the body without adding muscle bulk.
Tracey Diehl teaches 1M=X Pilates floorwork program ranging from beginner to advanced levels by a series of modifications working toward advanced positions. She will teach you the fundamentals of spinal elongation, forced exhale, pelvic, rib cage, spinal stabilization and choreography using the Pilates ring, individual weights, flex bands and balls. Routines combine elements of strength training with Pilates style exercises to challenge the student in a safe and progressive manner.
